JUNKYARD ART, you never know what you
might find
I use paint, metal, wood, and clay as
mediums to create an image, sculpture, etc. My
JUNKYARD art space is full of character and whimsical
creations. I love color. My room when I was growing up
had rainbow everything. My parents were always making,
building, painting, or sewing something. My mom past
away in high school, through all that, I became strong,
determined to look at life with faith and hope and the
colors she impressed upon me. I look for a way to
create things that make us feel good. I have a
tendency to scribble words on my art that describe my
feelings and motivations. Just as my art is a mix, so
are my interests. I am working on several things:
-
new paintings and
new JUNKOLIER's for the JUNK Gallery
-
keeping up with my
2nd and 5th Graders
-
writing and
illustrating a children's book
-
trying to move up
the ladder in the film production world
I lived in Los Angeles for 6 years working
in the Art Department which greatly influenced my style.
I free lanced around the country working as an On Set
Dresser in television or feature films. Recently, I
worked as an On Set Scenic Painter on a FedEx NASCAR
commercial at the Langley Speedway in Hampton, and was
commissioned to design graphics and paint graffiti
throughout Victory Lane (the finish line), their museum,
including their concessions.
